I want to talk to you about something we often neglect self-care. We live in a world of constant demands, emails, deadlines, support….what about you?, What about your wellbeing?
The truth is, you cannot pour from an empty cup. Today, i want to remind you that self-care is not selfish. Self-Care is essential. In fact it is survival. Jim Rohn says; Take care of your body. It is the only place you have to live.
Eat, sleep, exercise and drink enough water. Your body is like a machine. If you don’t fuel it properly, it will breakdown. Take care of your social life. Surround yourself with positive people. Share your struggles. The right people will lift you up when life is tough. Your mental health too is important, Read, Reflect and recharge. Feed your mind with wisdom, Fill your heart with gratitude.
Katie Reed says: ” Self-care is giving the world the best of you instead of you is left for you. Take time, take care, take charge because when you invest in yourself you will have to give to the world.
Today i challenge you to pause, prioritize and practice self-care.
Maya Angelou once said; ”You alone are enough. You are not accountable to anybody.” You are enough not because of money in your bank account, neither because of the luxurious car rather because of the way you are. Rich or poor, black or white, educated or uneducated, tall or short beautiful or ugly
YOU ARE ENOUGH.. Stop waiting for permission to love yourself.
